Will Google launch Android on a carrier this year?
Background
Android is Google's up and coming mobile phone open-source operating system. It's supposed to be the next big thing in the mobile space, and seemingly signifies Google's attempt to challenge the iPhone and open up the U.S. carriers. The beta launch of the Android SDK has been riddled with issues and Google has said that there will be a phone out this year that will have the Android operating system. Despite these claims from Google, there are many nay-sayers that aren't convinced that Google can get a phone out to the public before the end of the year.

T-Mobile...are you serious! i haven's checked out all major cities in USA but Boston alone has HORRIBLE service...so even if the android phone is AMAZING...it will be pointless for me to have with no service... why didn't they go with Sprint or Verizon?
Google's launch of Android on T-Mobile will likely be just a starting point. I bet they'll launch Android on other carriers throughout the coming year.
Do you perhaps think that just like the Apple iPhone and Cingular/at&t as they were an exclusive deal that Google's Android won't do the same. It would be beneficial if the phone is a success for T-Mobile to try to hold that over Google.
